Partnership with Crane Worldwide
Cargo aviation firm Antonov Airlines has partnered with lifting specialist Crane Worldwide to deliver a mobile crane and fire extinguishing equipment from the U.S. to Argentina.
The breakbulk cargo was loaded at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston and flown aboard an Antonov An-124-100 freighter to Presidente PerĂ³n International Airport. Cargo included booms, tracks, control stations and water pumps, and weighed a combined total of 70 tonnes.
“We had an AN124 agreement signed, aircraft on the ground, loaded, and ready for wheels up to the destination in 48 hours,” said Dillon Lato, inside sales supervisor at Crane Worldwide.
Headquartered in Kiev, Antonov provides heavy-lift air freight and specialized transport for outsized cargoes to the oil and gas, energy, aerospace, agriculture and telecommunications industries.
