Out-of-gauge Equipment Via Houston
Breakbulk specialists First Global Logistics and CH Robinson have collaborated on the delivery of two transformers and two compressors from the U.S. to Egypt.
The outsized units weighed up to 13 tonnes and measured up to 5 meters long. They were transported from the supplier’s facility in Los Angeles to Cairo airport via Houston Port.
“Both [firms] proved their understanding of the Oil and Gas field, in terms of site urgent demands, rescuing its shut-down by transporting a transformer urgently by air, from door of supplier in Los Angeles to Cairo airport,” a spokesperson for FGL said.
FGL and CH Robinson are members of the Project Logistics Alliance, a breakbulk network which connects pre-qualified specialists in over 80 countries.
