(MENA) First of Six Nordex N149 Units
Breakbulk carrier Hareket Heavy Lifting and Project Transportation has delivered an oversized wind turbine for the Akça wind farm in Izmir, Turkey.
The 4.5-megawatt turbine is among the most powerful in Turkey, and features blades measuring more than 74 meters long. Upon arrival at the site a team from Hareket oversaw assembly and installation of the turbine.
“Along with this, five more units of the new generation, high-capacity Nordex N149 4.5Mw will be installed on the wind farm,” a spokesperson for Hareket said.
Headquartered in Istanbul, Hareket is a member of the Project Logistics Alliance, which connects pre-qualified cargo carriers in 88 countries worldwide.
