Shipment to Qatar
Freight forwarder Muscat International Shipping & Logistics has transported eight DIA tanks from Oman to Qatar.
The consignment comprised a total weight of 10 tonnes with the largest of the tanks measuring more than 12 meters in length. Scope of work included loading of tanks to multi-axle trailers transport of all cargo un police escort from Rusayl to Sohar Port.
“Due to the over-dimensional width and height, Sohar Port authorities had to give approval to open their main gate for this operation only [and] arrangements had to be made to reroute the vessel to call at the breakbulk terminal in Hamad Port,” a spokesperson for MIS said.
Based in the Omani capital of Muscat, MIS provides breakbulk services throughout the Middle East and is a member of the Project Cargo Network, or PCN.
