Time charter rates for multipurpose shipping have continued to recover in November, according to the latest figures from consultancy Toepfer Transport.

Rates reached US$6,729 in November on an average six- to 12-month time charter basis, marking the sixth straight month of increases. Rates remain well below the yearly high of US$7,578 in November 2019. 

The firm’s Multipurpose Shipping Report is published monthly and provides an index based on a 12,500 deadweight-tonne multipurpose /heavy-lift F-Type vessel for a six to 12-month charter period.
