Shipment from Aliağa

Freight forwarder Viking Project Logistics has delivered breakbulk transformer and auxiliary equipment from turkey to India.

The outsized cargo was loaded inland and transported by road to port at Aliağa in the İzmir province of Turkey for shipment direct to Mumbai. The cargo comprised a 46-tonne transformer plus 16 boxes, each measuring three meters in length and weighing three tonnes.

Headquartered in Istanbul, Viking Project Logistics is a member of the Project Logistics Alliance, which represents breakbulk operators worldwide. The firm partnered with fellow PLA member C.H. Robinson to complete the project.

“[We] would like to thank fellow Project Logistics Alliance member C.H. Robinson Worldwide Freight for the trust and support,” a spokesperson for Viking said.
